Laminated Labels

Our Brother printers use P-touch laminated labels, which are the preferred labels for asset tags and calibration stickers because of their long life and durability.  These are polyester laminated labels printed using thermal transfer ink and protected to withstand abrasion, fading, tearing and smearing from exposures to extreme temperatures (-80° to 100°C), chemicals/solvents, moisture and more.  The laminated labels are produced from a continuous “tape” that comes in an easy to install, drop-in cartridge design that contains all the consumables, which helps eliminate the problems associated with thermal transfer printing technology.

The P-touch (TZ/TZe) tape is available in 6 fixed width sizes (6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm, 24mm and 36mm), is 8m (26.2’) long, comes in 3 adhesive types (standard adhesive for smooth surfaces, extra-strength adhesive for plastic, textured and hard to stick surfaces, flexible ID for wrapping around or as a label flag – although not an adhesive difference.

This is our most popular model for calibration labels.  This model has a small footprint so it fits on a crowded technician workbench, and the top loading, clamshell design gives easy access for changing tape cartridges.  This printer accepts all TZ/TZe and HG tapes, including the widest tape size (36mm) and prints at the highest print resolution (360dpi) which makes printing same characters on a calibration label easy to read.

Although most users would probably just print one label at a time, this model comes with a unique auto cutter that can produce a strip of multiple easy to peel off labels versus just multiple individual loose labels (or you can do this too) which is primarily used for preprinting and preparing for a large job.
