Ape Software was founded in 1992 by a quality assurance professional with experience in process engineering, management, and database development. He began developing database applications that were specific to the requirements of his job since there were so few other choices available. The few choices that were available were more complicated and/or more expensive that he was willing to pay.

Later, he started sharing some of the database applications he created with other professionals in the quality assurance community. As a result of receiving an overwhelming positive response and gathering valuable feedback from the professionals he shared his applications with, Ape Software’s first product, Calibration Control was released.

Ape Software’s formula for success hasn’t changed over the years. Ape is one of the few software companies in the world to offer its software to the world for public beta testing before final release. With a multitude of loyal customers globally, this allows Ape to maintain an open line of communication with users and industry experts alike.
