Purpose Section

This procedure establishes the methods used by YCNH inspectors to verify that items submitted for final inspection are acceptable for release to distribution.

End items flow to the final inspection station with the work order. Drawings and assembly instructions may also be attached to the work order as required by the specific requirements of the end item.

Inspection procedure are initiated, revised, and approved by Quality Assurance. The inspection procedure lists the parameters to which each end item will be inspected. Quality Assurance shall ensure that the inspection documentation is current at the appropriate inspection stations.

The work order is the record of manufacturing and inspection operations. Upon release for shipment, the work order and any appropriate history documentation is filed by Quality Assurance as a record of end item acceptability.
